In Terry Smith’s new play “M”, M had it all, a beautiful family, a terrific career, and a loving home with three great kids- at least that’s what it looked like to the outside world. But, inside her shell was a woman trapped by her own sense of unworthiness and emptiness, unable to claw her way back from the darkness left behind from her fractured childhood….and more importantly, the loss of her son. How did she get here? Everyone would be better off without her, right? Is she selfish or merciful? And what happens to those left behind?
