The fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride as two narrators and several actors attempt to combine all 209 stories ranging from classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel to more bizarre, obscure stories like The Devil’s Grandmother and The Girl Without Hands. A wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun.
AUDITIONS – open to ages 14 – adult
October 3 from 10:00am – 2:00pm
Prepare a two-minute monologue of your choice and a one-minute monologue from the script, both preferably memorized but that’s not required. (Sample scripts can be accessed here. Full scripts will be available at the readthrough for those cast.) Please be comfortable enough with the monologue so you can use the space to audition with it and not just read it. There will also be cold readings from the script.
To reserve an in-person audition time between 10:00am and 1:00pm, please use Sign-Up Genius. Walk-ins will be seen as schedule permits. Zoom auditions will be scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00pm. Masks MUST be worn by all those attending the auditions. Temperatures will also be taken. Specific COVID guidelines will be sent to you prior to the auditions. Please watch your emails for notices. Masks and safety precautions will be taken during rehearsals and performances. The safety of our guests, staff, and actors are our highest priorities!
Please complete this online audition form prior to attending the audition.
All auditionees who reserve an audition time should email a CURRENT photo or headshot and resume to info@stagecoachtc.com. Photos do not need to be professionally taken; we just need to recognize you!
Performances will run from January 22 – 31. Everyone cast will need to be at ALL performances and at ALL rehearsals during the two weeks prior to opening. This will include late nights – teens and parents should plan accordingly.
