Murder at the Ol’ Brogue

By Terry Smith

The play takes place at a local bar where the patrons are having a wake for a friend, Danny O’Connell, who recently passed away. Danny was a homeless person who had been coming to the bar for years to have a drink or pick up some food. The owner and the patrons of the bar had always been very nice to him as he was a friendly man who just appeared to be down on his luck. The patrons took care of him by donating money in a small box. This money was used to pay medical expenses, buy food, and obtain shelter when he would accept it. In return, he would show up and help people when they needed a friend. But earlier this week, he was found dead next to a dumpster. Was it murder or had the sands of time finally run out?
